AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2 is this Sunday, June 25th in Toronto, Ontario, Canada inside Scotiabank Arena. Everyone is getting hyped for one of the best cards of the summer from All Elite Wrestling. This year there is a double main event on the card with Kenny Omega taking on Will Ospreay for IWGP US Title. While Bryan Danielson takes on Kazuchika Okada.
This year’s build to Forbidden Door is a lot better than last year’s version of the show. Even the card last year delivered, how they got to this year’s card is way better. Everyone looks to this show because of all the fantasy bookings and what could happen. Not to mention all storylines being woven in through Dynamite, Rampage, and now Collision. And oh by the way the Owen Hart Cup Tournament starts this weekend as well.
In addition to the double main event, there are seven other matches, including four other title matches.
With only a few days left before AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2, let’s take a look at some of the betting favourites that are expected to emerge victorious in the night’s biggest bouts.

AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door via Sports Betting Dime:
- IGPW US Championship: Kenny Omega (c) (+150) vs Will Ospreay (-150)
This is a rematch from Wrestle Kingdom 17 and the odds are in Ospreay’s favor with the champion as the underdog. It feels like a trilogy of matches is coming and the next one will be in Wembley. It is a pick’em, but somehow Omega retains in his home country and Ospreay gets him in England.
- Kazuchika Okada (+100) vs. Bryan Danielson (+100) – Pick’em
The two best wrestlers in the world will collide in Toronto. The second half of the double main event. Truly a pick’em match. The staredown on Dynamite was excellent and the build to this match has been off the charts. These two will put on a clinic.
- AEW World Championship: MJF (-900) vs Hiroshi Tanahashi (+600)
MJF is favoured at -900 to win the title. Nobody expects him to lose to Tanahashi. But he will be putting on a good show considering how much trash MJF has been talking about NJPW. Tanahashi will put up a good fight, but in the end, MJF will retain the title.
- IWGP World Heavyweight Championship: Sanada (-1900) vs. Jungle Boy (+900)
Like with MJF, Sanada will retain the title over Jungle Boy Jack Perry. Nobody sees Perry as a real threat to Sanada. He took the open challenge but will come up short in his goal of getting gold. The champ retains as he should as the overwhelming favourite.
- AEW International Championship: Orange Cassidy (-500) vs. Daniel Garcia (+850) vs. Zack Sabre Jr. (+300) vs. Katsuyori Shibata (+700)
This will be one heck of a match. The two favourites are Cassidy and Sabre Jr. Not sure AEW needed all four men, but regardless this match could steal the show on Sunday. Expect Cassidy to retain and continues his run as International Champion.
- 10-man Tag – Elite, Eddie Kingston, Tomohiro Ishii (-300) vs Blackpool Combat Club, Konosuke Takeshita & Shota Umino (+200)
This has a big fight feel to it as the Blood and Guts match is coming but not yet. With enemies becoming allies to fight for the greater good it will be interesting to see the dynamic of Kingston and Ishii with the Young Bucks and Hangman Adam Page as they fight the BCC of Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, and Wheeler Yuta. Feels like the Elite could get their win back here, but something tells us that BCC goes over again.
- AEW Women’s Championship: Toni Storm (-2000) vs Willow Nightengale (+700)
Now is not Willow’s time to win the AEW Women’s Championship. Willow is the New Japan Women’s Strong champion. Storm will have help at ringside as the Outcasts will find a way to have Storm retain. She is the oddsmaker’s favourite for a reason.
- Owen Hart Cup First Round: CM Punk (-10000) vs Satoshi Kojima (+1100)
CM Punk’s first PPV since All Out 2022 and nobody expects him to lose in the Owen Hart Cup. Punk loves the Hart Family and expect him to win here and maybe win the whole tournament.
- Chris Jericho & Minoru Suzuki & Sammy Guevara vs. Sting & Darby Allin & TBD – odds not known at this time.
- Adam Cole vs Tom Lawlor
AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2 takes place Sunday, June 25th on PPV.
