The 2023 US Open has reached the final weekend with the women’s and men’s semifinals. On Thursday evening, Coco Gauff will take on Karolina Muchova, while Madison Keys will take on Aryna Sabalenka. Then, on Friday, Novak Djokovic takes on the young American Ben Shelton. That match will be followed by Carlos Alcaraz taking on Daniil Medvedev.
Full Press Bets and Coverage has already taken a look at the men’s semifinals for the US Open. Let’s dive into Thursday’s semifinals.
On the women’s side of things, everyone is hoping for an All-American Final between Keys and Gauff. Sabalenka is the favourite to win the tournament now since Iga Swiatek lost. Entering the tournament, it was Swiatek, but Sabalenka was right behind her. She is playing with a purpose now that she is the new number-one player in the world.
Meanwhile, Keys has been at this point before and was a runner-up at the US Open years back. Muchova has the game to get to a final as well. She did it at Roland Garros in May. There, she rallied to force a third set before losing to Swiatek. Remember, the US Open is where strange things happen on the women’s side. Then there is Coco Gauff. She is having a great summer and tournament. Brad Gilbert has helped her game, but her execution is on point.

2023 US Open Semifinal Odds
Coco Gauff (+154) vs Karolina Muchova (+238)
Gauff is on a mission this year with her new team in place. Again, everyone talks about Gilbert and what he has done, but she is executing on the court. She won two titles one in Washington and the other in Cincinnati, before coming to New York. She has been efficient and continues to execute her game plan to perfection. She struggled early in her first and third rounds, but after that cruise city. She is the second favorite behind Sabalenka. That means people expect her to beat Muchova.
However, that will be tricky. Muchova has a tricky game. And this is her second trip to the semifinals at a major event this season. At Roland Garros, she went to the finals. Muchova is having a great season after terrible luck with injuries. But she has been at this point before. There is a reason she went into the top 10 on the WTA. Hard court seems to suit her game as she had great results in Indian Wells, Miami, Cincinnati, and now New York.
This one has the potential to go three sets. It is a toss-up, but Gauff figures out a way.
Aryna Sabalenka (+133) vs Madison Keys (+309)
The second women’s semifinal will be a battle between two players who hit the ball hard. Sabalenka and Keys. Sabalenka is looking to bookend the season with wins in Australia and now New York. She is also has made the semifinals or better in each of the four majors this season. Sabalenka, as stated earlier, is playing with a purpose. The pressure of being the new world number one is not getting to her. Ever since Swiatek lost, her game has risen even higher.
She will need to find another level against Keys. Keys was the runner-up in 2017 to Sloane Stephens. She is back to that point and was dominant in her quarterfinal victory over Wimbledon champion Marketa Vondrousova. She is flying under the radar. If Sabalenka is not on her game, Keys will give her problems. It could be over quickly, as we saw the other night.
Both matchups feel like a Grand Slam final. American tennis fans want Coco Gauff and Madison Keys on Saturday night. It is a strong possibility. Again, that is why they play the game. Odds are at least Sabalenka and Gauff are there.
That does it for your 2023 US Open Women’s Semifinals betting odds preview.
