Stan Kroenke and wife Ann Walton Kroenke have been on quite a roll recently. Their Rams won Super Bowl LVI, 23-20 over the Cincinnati Bengals in February. Recently, their Colorado Avalanche won the Stanley Cup over the Tampa Bay Lightning in six games.
If you believe that the third time is a charm, their Denver Nuggets are a viable choice to win next year’s NBA championship. Currently, the Nuggets are the 12th betting choice at 20-1.
To keep with our things happen in threes scenario, Nuggets Star Center Nikola Jokić has won the last two league MVPs. The last player to win back-to-back MVPs was Giannis Antetokounmpo in 2018-19 and 2019-20. His team fell short in the playoffs those two seasons but the following year won Milwaukee’s first championship in 50 years. If that form holds true, Jokic could be in line to follow up
back-to-back MVPs with an NBA Championship. Something the Nuggets have never done since joining the league in 1976.

The Nuggets lost to the eventual champion Warriors in the first round of the recent playoffs. But with All-Star guard Jamal Murray returning after missing the entire 2021-22 season with a knee injury, and ascending star Forward Michael Porter Jr. coming back after playing only nine games last season, the Nuggets have ample reinforcements to go from the 6th seed to a certain title contender.

In addition, the Nuggets recently traded for Washington Wizards Wing Kentavious Caldwell Pope who will bring championship DNA to the Rocky Mountains. KCP was a vital member of the 2020 Lakers championship team.
The Nuggets have frontline talent, a top-flight coach in Mike Malone, a good organization, and an owner with deep pockets who now knows what winning tastes like. Couple all of that with one of the very best players in the league in Jokic, the Nuggets at 20-1 are a very juicy choice to win next year’s NBA championship.
